Marvel Readathon Update

Here's an update on what happened with the Marvel Readathon.

Well, I read only three books during September, one of which I didn't finished until October, but read enough of it to be included with the overall results.

The first book I finished was The Memory Thief.

 The Memory Thief

I started it on September 2nd and finished it on the 14th. It was so good. 5 stars. If I had more time on my hands to read it, I would've finished it sooner. One day I will write a review of it here, ranting all about its goodness. (I recommend reading it if you haven't)

The prompts it fulfilled: 9#, 10#, 13#, 15#

The second book I finished was Renegades.

Renegades (Renegades, #1)

I started it on September 15th and finished it on the 22th.  This book was a monster to read (but what I can expect from Marissa Meyer?), but it was so worth it. It was awesome. Another 5 stars. I can't wait to read the next book in the series! (I also recommend this)

The prompts it fulfilled: 1#, 5#, 11#, 12#, 13#, 15#, also possibly 4# since it gives the feels of being in the future of the real world.

And the last and third book I read was The Glittering Court.

The Glittering Court (The Glittering Court, #1)

I started on September 24th and finished it on October 4th. I read this one instead of the others I picked for the Marvel Readathon because I burrowed it from the library back in August. It has been sitting around for a while now. Since I wanted to get this read and didn't think I could add another to the readathon, I picked this one up. I am surprised how much I read of this one in September.

The ranking is 3.5. It wasn't as good as the others, but I enjoyed reading it.

The prompts it fulfilled: 1#, 13#, and maybe 4#? It is set in a fantasy world, but it also had no magic or mythical creatures or anything else related to those. So it felt like it had a time period, the past, even though it is fake from the real world.

Prompts in total (not including repeats): 9

That is 9 of 15, so I got 60% fulfilled in the Marvel Readathon (if my Maths skills served me well).

Not bad at all. For doing a readathon for the first time as well as being busy with study, I'm impressed with myself. I also picked well, didn't I?

Not sure if I won this, but I don't care.

So that's the update. See you guys soon. *waves*

What did you think of the Readathon? The books I read?

  1. I'm so glad you had a nice time! I'd say you've more than won the readathon with 9 prompts fulfilled! Great job! The Memory Thief is actually on my radar, but who know when I'll get to it. I quite liked Renegades though! Congrats on winning the readathon! Also, thank you for making this post! I loved seeing your thoughts on the books you read.

    1. Yay, that's good to know.
Oh, The Memory Thief is? When you finally read it, you should tell me your thoughts. I'd love to know if you love it as well (or even liked it).
      Thank you!
You're welcome. I enjoyed making it. (I was going to do it later, but then I got too involved in making parts of it that I couldn't stop until I finished it.)
Thank you for your kind comment! <3
